Participants who got seven to eight hours of sleep per night, fell asleep easily, stayed asleep throughout the night, refused to use sleep medication and woke up feeling well-rested received higher scores. The researchers found that those who followed all five good-quality sleep habits were less likely to die early: up to two and a half years may be added to a woman's life expectancy, and almost five years to a man's.
