Daredevil, Punisher and More Enter the Spider-Verse With New Costumes
Daredevil, Frank Castle, Emma Frost and more iconic Marvel characters enter into the Spider-Verse with some brand-new costumes in a new variant cover series.
On Feb. 15, 2023, Marvel unveiled a number of Spider-Verse variant covers starring the X-Men's Storm, Thor, Deadpool, Doctor Strange and a number of other characters as part of a new series from a collection of talented artists. The publisher has now revealed eight more Spider-Verse variant covers transforming more beloved superheroes into Spider-Verse heroes.

The new additions to the series include Dave Johnson's variant for Daredevil #11 (on sale May 10, 2023), Taurin Clarke's variant for Immortal X-Men #11 (on sale May 10, 2023), Leinil Francis Yu's variant for Wolverine #33 (on sale May 10, 2023), Gerald Parel's variant for X-Men #22 (on sale May 17, 2023), Cully Hamner's variant for Hulk Annual #1 (on sale May 17, 2023), John Cassady's variant for Punisher #12 (on sale May 24, 2023) and Pete Woods' variant for Captain America: Symbol of Truth #13 (on sale May 31, 2023).

Marvel's Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Verse Variant Features a Web-Slinging Mary Jane
Additionally, the publisher released a special Dave Talaski Spider-Verse variant for Amazing Spider-Man #26 (on sale May 31, 2023), which homages Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko's Amazing Fantasy #15 cover from 1962 and sees Mary Jane Watson swinging through New York City in a Spider-Man costume while holding on to Peter Parker. Marvel previously teased Amazing Spider-Man #26, which serves as the conclusion to the current story arc explaining why Peter and Mary Jane broke up, will be the "most shocking issue of [Amazing Spider-Man in fifty years]. The synopsis for the issue reads, "Now fully in the present, the Emissary has returned and his power is so far beyond Spider-Man’s abilities. The heroes may figure out a way to win, but the cost of victory will be so immense that you may hope they don’t…"

Marvel is launching a new Edge of Spider-Verse five-issue limited series on May 3, 2023. The first issue comes from Karla Pacheco, Zander Cannon, Pere Pérez and more and will reunite readers with some fan-favorite Spider-Verse characters while also introducing new variants such as a mysterious "Spider-Killer."
