Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition: Mid-generation refresh arrives running Wear OS 2
Fossil has introduced a new version of the Gen 6, the company's most recent smartwatch. Still running the Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus and Wear OS 2, the Fossil Gen 6 Venture Edition comes with a different watch strap, a slightly different design and retails for US$299.
Samsung formally launches 3nm chip production at a South Korean facility
Samsung has announced that it has successfully begun the process of manufacturing its inaugural chips of a 3 nanometer (3nm) architecture, projected to become the cutting edge of consumer processing power in 2023. The OEM already claims that its first-gen 3nm silicon is capable of performance that is over 20% improved compared to that of its 5nm predecessor, with a ~50% boost to power-efficiency on top of that.
Specter 1 s-pedelec arrives with 45 kph top speed and up to 160 km range
The Specter 1 s-pedelec is available to pre-order. The e-bike has a top speed of 45 kph (~28 mph) in Europe and is road legal; the limiter can be removed in other markets, though the vehicle is not yet certified for non-European routes. The longer-range version provides up to 160 km (~99 miles), with an average range of 60 km (~37 miles) across the various models.
Tern NBD e-bike unveiled with ultra-low 39 cm step-through frame and up to 118 km range
Tern has released a new e-bike series, including NBD S5i and NBD P8i. The pedelecs have a top speed of 25 kph (or 20 mph in the US) and provide up to 118 km (~74 miles) range. An ultra-low step-through of 39 cm (~15.4-in) makes the vehicles accessible for many riders. Plus, the pedelec folds and can be moved or stored vertically.
